Getting to know your hypnotist.

David Baumgold has been practicing hypnosis since 2007, and he earned his official certification with the National Guild of Hypnotists in early 2011. He also received a degree in psychology from Brandeis University in 2010.

David has done thousands of successful trances with hundreds of different people, and he enjoys helping people with their problems. He specializes in issues of sexuality and identity, especially among gay men. He currently lives in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and primarily sees clients throughout Europe.

Hypnosis is nothing more or less than a state of highly focused attention. Most people go into and out of light trances multiple times every day: watching TV, reading a book, and daydreaming are all examples of everyday hypnosis. Hypnosis is natural and perfectly safe, and can be combined with medical care without side effects.

While hypnotized, you remain fully in control of yourself, and you always have the ability to bring yourself out of trance any time you choose. Hypnosis cannot force you to do anything: in fact, all instructions given to you while hypnotized are actually suggestions, that you accept or ignore as you see fit. The hypnotist’s role is to help you explore your own mind, guiding you towards achieving the goals you’ve set for yourself. The hypnotist’s suggestions are designed to guide your mind into positive pathways, and to help you understand your mental blocks, so that you can overcome them.

I offer one-on-one hypnosis sessions in the comfort and privacy of your own home. I can travel anywhere in the greater Amsterdam area, and my fee starts at €130 per hour, depending on distance, timing, and content of the session. Minimum session length is one hour.

I also offer hypnosis sessions over videochat (usually Skype) for only €100 per hour; these sessions are more convienent but less effective than in-person sessions. I occasionally offer in-person hypnosis sessions outside of the Amsterdam area: contact me for pricing and details.
